Job Description & Details
This contract role puts you right on the floor of a multi-product manufacturing facility handling critical drug product visual inspections. If you enjoy detail-heavy, highly regulated environments where precision directly impacts patient safety, this gig offers a steady path to sharpen your biotech operations background.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will revolve around executing routine and advanced visual inspections of drug products under strict cGMP guidelines. You won't just be staring at vials all day, though; expect to handle inspection hood prep, palletizing, cleanroom operations, BioMES data entry, and batch record documentation. When things go sideways, you'll be responsible for catching deviations early, logging work orders, and keeping production spaces pristine according to 5S standards.
The Core Tech Stack
Success here relies entirely on your ability to work within tightly controlled manufacturing execution systems (MES) and follow complex Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the letter. You need a rock-solid grasp of cGMP and cGDP documentation standards, combined with the extreme visual focus required to spot micro-defects in a high-speed production flow. Having prior exposure to biotech machinery and material handling will help you ramp up quickly without bottlenecks.
Interview Expectations
When talking to the hiring manager, expect them to test your familiarity with deviation reporting and how you handle strict quality control environments. They are secretly looking for a 'right-the-first-time' mindset, so be ready to share a specific example of how you caught an error or managed an out-of-spec situation without skipping documentation steps.
Application Advice
To get past the automated screeners, your resume needs to explicitly feature keywords like cGMP, cGDP, BioMES, batch records, and visual inspection. Don't just list past job titles; highlight your hands-on experience working in regulated cleanrooms or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments where attention to detail was non-negotiable.
