Trimble Unity Construct (e-Builder) Administrator & Support Specialist

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty administration and process optimization role focused entirely on the Trimble Unity Construct platform (formerly e-Builder). If you've spent the last several years knee-deep in construction program management software, user provisioning, and cost management workflows, this contract will let you lean hard into your existing expertise without dealing with generic IT support duties.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days bridging the gap between end-users and the platform itself, handling everything from daily user support and account provisioning to building out complex reporting dashboards and tracking requirements. A major part of the gig involves creating and maintaining training materials, running design sessions for new process rollouts, and acting as the definitive lead for process testing. You are essentially the platform owner keeping the agency's workload running smoothly and ensuring best practices are actually being followed.

The Core Tech Stack

Your primary tool here is Trimble Unity Construct (formerly e-Builder), and you need to know it inside and out. The team relies on your deep understanding of cost management configurations, user permission structures, report subscriptions, and workflow design. If you don't have hands-on experience setting up dashboards, cleaning up legacy reports, and guiding stakeholders through new process rollouts in this specific ecosystem, you will hit a wall immediately.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your deep knowledge of e-Builder's permission hierarchies and workflow routing engines. They will likely ask you how you would handle a scenario where a critical cost-management workflow breaks mid-cycle and a dozen project managers are blocked. They want to hear a structured troubleshooting methodology that balances immediate user support with long-term system stability and documentation. Another favorite question will be how you design training materials for non-technical stakeholders who resist adopting new platform features.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume screams Trimble Unity Construct and e-Builder right at the top—don't bury it under general project management terms. Explicitly highlight your experience with account maintenance, cost management best practices, and dashboard creation so the ATS flags your profile immediately. If you have led user training programs or authored process documentation for capital improvement projects, spell that out clearly in your narrative.
