Security IDaaS Engineer

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty identity and access management gig where you will spend your time wrangling authentication pipelines, fine-tuning Okta setups, and keeping enterprise security posture intact. If you actually enjoy untangling complex SSO integrations and building out robust access controls rather than just talking about them on slides, this long-term contract is worth a serious look.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days configuring application integrations, spinning up IAM objects like service accounts and API tokens, and wrestling with day-to-day tickets and change management queues. Beyond keeping the lights on, you are actively expected to design code that automates access management services to slash manual overhead, while keeping a close eye on security baselines and rapid incident recovery readiness.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to know your way around IDaaS, OAuth, SAML, and IDM inside and out, with Okta being a non-negotiable daily driver. Because this environment spans the cloud, solid fluency in AWS or Azure is mandatory, along with enough scripting muscle in Postman and PowerShell to automate repetitive integration tasks without breaking a sweat.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring panel to hit you with a scenario where an enterprise-wide SAML federation breaks mid-day due to a token expiration mismatch, and they'll want to hear your exact troubleshooting steps from trace to fix. They are secretly testing whether you can debug protocols under pressure without falling back on trial-and-error. You should also be ready to whiteboard how you would design a zero-trust automated provisioning workflow using REST APIs and PowerShell, with an emphasis on how you audit service accounts and handle least-privilege enforcement.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to heavily spotlight your hands-on deployment metrics with Okta, OAuth, and SAML integrations rather than high-level conceptual summaries. Make sure keywords like IDaaS, IGA, PowerShell, Postman, and specific cloud identity providers are front and center so you easily clear their automated ATS filters before a senior engineer actually reads your technical background.
