Marketing Specialist III (GEO Analyst)

Job Description & Details

This is a specialized contractor role focusing on the bleeding edge of search: Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI search initiatives. If you enjoy living at the intersection of traditional SEO and emerging LLM-driven search experiences, this gig gives you a front-row seat to building the playbooks from scratch.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to wear multiple hats ranging from deep-dive researcher to project coordinator and executive deck builder. Your day-to-day will involve interviewing internal stakeholders to map out current capabilities, conducting competitor research on AI search trends, and synthesizing messy data into clean, executive-ready PowerPoint decks. You'll be helping to operationalize how the business approaches search in an era where traditional algorithms are rapidly evolving into conversational AI engines.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely must bring 2+ years of foundational SEO experience paired with a demonstrated grasp of AI search and GEO initiatives. Beyond the marketing mechanics, advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is non-negotiable because you'll constantly be translating data into visual storytelling materials and performance scorecards for senior leadership.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to ask you how you would audit a brand's visibility inside a generative AI answer engine compared to a traditional SERP. They are secretly looking for structural thinkers who are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can build scalable processes where no playbook currently exists. You should also be ready to explain a time you synthesized complex stakeholder feedback into a singular, actionable executive presentation.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume doesn't just read like a standard organic search history. Explicitly highlight any experience you have with emerging search technologies, AI tools, and cross-functional project management. Weave exact keywords like Generative Engine Optimization, stakeholder engagement, and executive communications naturally into your work history to easily clear the ATS filters.
