SS&C ChorAWD Analyst

Job Description & Details

This is a solid, heads-down business systems analyst role embedded within a Fortune 500 investment firm's back-office operations. You'll be acting as the critical bridge between non-technical operations teams and a lean development squad, specifically driving requirements and workflow updates for an SS&C Chorus (AWD) platform. If you know the ins and outs of BPM platforms and actually enjoy translating messy business requirements into clean technical specs, this gig offers steady, long-term stability.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around talking to heavy-hitting back-office users, figuring out where their operational bottlenecks are, and turning those insights into actionable user stories and workflow updates for a small team of three engineers. You will also heavily support their annual three-month platform upgrade cycle, which means prepping documentation, keeping stakeholders aligned, and rolling up your sleeves for manual testing and data validation to ensure nothing breaks before it hits production in their Kanban delivery model.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute fluency in SS&C Chorus or legacy AWD BPM platforms—there's zero room to learn this on the job since it's an explicit dealbreaker. Beyond that, you'll want a strong grasp of requirements gathering frameworks, manual testing protocols, and basic familiarity with how APIs or backend interactions hook into the Chorus ecosystem. Bonus points if you've touched Blue Prism before, as process automation cross-overs happen frequently in this environment.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to grill you on a time you had to manage conflicting priorities between rigid business stakeholders and a constrained engineering team. They want to see your negotiation and requirement-refinement skills in action. You'll also likely field scenario-based questions about troubleshooting an SS&C Chorus workflow bottleneck during a high-stress platform upgrade, where they are secretly evaluating your methodical approach to root-cause analysis and data validation under pressure.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume doesn't hide your SS&C Chorus or AWD BPM experience—put it right at the top because ATS parsers and human recruiters are filtering strictly for those exact keywords. Frame your bullet points around your stakeholder management skills, workflow documentation history, and your direct involvement in BPM upgrades or manual testing cycles rather than generic business analyst fluff.
