Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty endpoint and browser infrastructure role where you'll own the entire enterprise browser ecosystem across physical and virtual machines. If you enjoy wrestling with Citrix non-persistent desktops, identity federation, and global browser policy rollouts without breaking production, this gig is right in your wheelhouse.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your days will be split between architecture, automation, and fighting off weird edge cases where legacy web apps refuse to play nice with modern security baselines. You'll be managing policy enforcement across ChromeOS, Edge, and Citrix Workspace Browser while juggling centralized platforms like CBCM and Microsoft Intune. Expect to spend a solid chunk of time troubleshooting why a specific SAML assertion failed or why an SSL certificate chain is throwing a wrench into VDI session states.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, battle-tested experience with Chrome Browser Cloud Management, Google Admin Console, and Microsoft Intune/GPO. Because this role touches heavy VDI environments, knowing your way around Citrix, FSLogix, and non-persistent desktop image optimization is non-negotiable. Throw in solid scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation, and you'll survive the scale of a global fleet.
Interview Expectations
Be prepared for a deep dive into advanced troubleshooting scenarios using tools like Fiddler, Wireshark, and Chrome DevTools to trace a broken auth flow or CORS error. The hiring manager is going to want to hear about a time you managed a major browser release ring deployment that went sideways and how you used canary rollouts and SRE telemetry to catch it before it hit the entire enterprise.
Application Advice
Don't just list every tool you've ever touched; make sure your resume explicitly highlights your experience with large-scale browser management platforms like CBCM and Intune. Mention your background in identity federation (SAML, OIDC, Entra ID) and any automation scripts you've written to self-heal endpoint issues. The ATS is going to scan heavily for exact matches on terms like 'Chrome Enterprise', 'Citrix', 'SRE', and 'Group Policy', so weave those organically into your experience bullet points.
