Cyber Security Architect - Agentic Identity & Access Management

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a specialized architectural role focused on building out identity and access management frameworks specifically tailored for autonomous AI agents and applications. If you enjoy wrestling with complex governance models and figuring out how to secure AI workloads without bottlenecking innovation, this gig is worth a serious look. You'll be bridging the gap between traditional enterprise security and bleeding-edge AI system architectures.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to spend a good chunk of your time designing integrated authorization architectures that dictate how AI applications and automated agents access enterprise resources. You won't just be drawing diagrams in isolation; you'll be actively driving multi-stakeholder discussions, aligning diverse customer groups around strategic security goals, and evaluating emerging tools to plug into their existing infrastructure. The day-to-day involves balancing strict Zero Trust principles with the flexibility that engineering teams need to ship AI products fast.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, hands-on fluency in Identity and Access Management ecosystems, specifically revolving around Privileged Access Management, directory services like Active Directory and LDAP, and enterprise IAM platforms such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Ping, or SailPoint. Cloud-based IAM across AWS and Azure is non-negotiable since these AI workloads live in the cloud. You'll also need to lean heavily on your understanding of Zero Trust, least privilege access, and CIAM patterns to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Interview Expectations

Be ready to answer questions like: 'How would you architect a least-privilege access model for an autonomous AI agent that needs to query multiple disparate databases dynamically?' The hiring manager is testing your ability to handle non-human identities, which behave very differently than standard users. Another likely question will challenge you on how to handle privilege creep when implementing a new PAM tool across a hybrid cloud environment—they want to see how you balance strict security governance with practical operational velocity.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS and grab the recruiter's attention, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with tools like CyberArk, SailPoint, or Ping, alongside your cloud IAM background. Don't just list technical skills; emphasize your stakeholder management and consulting experience, as this role heavily relies on your ability to drive cross-functional alignment and secure buy-in from reluctant tech teams.
