Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Lead Software Engineer role where you won't just be writing features, but also architecting test automation and cloud migration strategies from the ground up. You will need a decade of battle scars in the Microsoft ecosystem to handle the mix of backend microservices, infrastructure automation, and robust quality gates.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days designing resilient RESTful APIs in C#/.NET while simultaneously embedding automated test frameworks directly into CI/CD pipelines. A massive part of this gig involves driving an Azure migration, writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and orchestrating containers on Kubernetes. You'll also be actively using AI tools like GitHub Copilot within an AI-driven SDLC to speed up delivery without sacrificing platform security or observability.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute fluency in C# and .NET, coupled with deep expertise in API and end-to-end test automation using tools like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Postman. Cloud-wise, a strong command of Azure and AKS is non-negotiable, alongside hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Terraform, and pipeline orchestrators like GitHub Actions or Jenkins. If you haven't wired up monitoring with Datadog or Prometheus, you are going to struggle here.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on system design for resilient microservices and how you handle complex asynchronous data validation in distributed cloud environments. They are secretly looking to see if you treat test automation as an afterthought or as a core engineering discipline, so be prepared to defend your strategies for integrating quality gates seamlessly into fast-moving deployment pipelines.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume screams C#/.NET backend architecture combined with serious test automation muscle. Do not just list tools; explicitly highlight how you reduced deployment friction, built out CI/CD quality gates, and drove cloud migrations using Terraform and Azure to ensure you clear the ATS filters.
