Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting architecture role where you won't just be writing scripts, but owning the architectural integrity of enterprise-scale ServiceNow deployments. If you enjoy wrangling complex enterprise workflows and steering technical teams without getting bogged down in endless meetings, this 12-month gig in Jersey City offers a solid platform to make an impact.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days acting as the bridge between executive business stakeholders and the dev team, translating messy business requirements into clean, scalable ServiceNow solutions. Your core duties involve overseeing platform administration across ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITOM, and ITAM, while designing robust custom applications and REST/SOAP API integrations with external enterprise systems. You'll also mentor developers, enforce coding standards, and ensure the platform doesn't slow down as it scales.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, battle-tested expertise across the ServiceNow ecosystem, specifically with ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITOM, and ITAM modules. Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and database SQL concepts is non-negotiable since you'll be reviewing code and troubleshooting complex integrations. Having a Certified Technical Architect (CTA) cert is listed as nice-to-have in some spots and mandatory in others, so make sure your architectural resume is airtight on enterprise implementations.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on platform scalability and integration failure handling, likely asking how you'd design a real-time, bi-directional REST integration with a legacy ERP while handling rate limits and payload failures. They want to hear about your battle scars—specifically how you handle massive transaction volumes without crashing performance tables or blowing out upgrade timelines.
Application Advice
Skip the generic resume layout and put your ServiceNow architecture credentials right at the top. Make sure to explicitly include keywords like ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, REST/SOAP APIs, and JavaScript alongside tangible metrics of past enterprise implementations to easily clear their automated ATS filters.
