AWS Cloud Solutions Architect / Cloud Engineer

Tri-Force Consulting Services

Job Description & Details

This 12-month contract role is heavy on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) governance and hybrid integrations, demanding someone who can bridge the gap between enterprise architecture and hands-wringing infrastructure details. If you've spent years dealing with Exadata, complex database topologies, and making multi-cloud setups actually work without falling apart, this gig will test your mettle.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days designing and standardizing robust multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, heavily centered around OCI while keeping an eye on AWS and Azure interoperability. Expect to partner closely with business stakeholders and engineering leads to translate vague requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments. You'll also be driving Infrastructure-as-Code expansion, helping engineering teams navigate tricky migrations, and ensuring that AI-supported workloads and legacy on-prem infrastructure play nicely together.

The Core Tech Stack

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is non-negotiable here; you need deep, battle-tested expertise in OCI services, governance models, and frameworks. Coupled with that, you'll need solid grounding in hybrid infrastructure, cloud networking, and DevOps automation tools like Terraform and Ansible. Don't gloss over the database side either—experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Golden Gate, and engineered systems like Exadata is critical for surviving the data migration aspects of this role.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to grill you on handling split-brain scenarios or disaster recovery strategies in an Oracle RAC environment layered over hybrid cloud infrastructure. They'll want to hear how you design for high availability while keeping operational costs in check. The interviewer is secretly looking for someone who doesn't just draw diagrams in Visio, but deeply understands the failure modes of underlying networking and storage layers.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream OCI and Oracle database integration proficiency right at the top. Make sure to explicitly detail your hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and complex hybrid cloud networking projects rather than just listing buzzwords. Tailor your bullet points to highlight governance models you've built and automation pipelines you've scaled, ensuring you slip past the ATS keyword matchers looking for specific metrics around infrastructure reliability.
