Angular JavaScript and Java Developer

Genesis10

Job Description & Details

This is a solid, long-term contract building enterprise-grade applications for a massive financial institution, requiring you to balance heavy Java backend logic with modern front-end frameworks like Angular. You will be sitting onsite at least three days a week in hubs like Charlotte, Plano, or Pennington, interfacing directly with architects and product owners in a heavily regulated environment.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will involve building responsive web interfaces while simultaneously hooking them into robust backend APIs. You are going to spend a good chunk of your time ensuring data flows securely using OAuth2 and JWT, optimizing relational databases, and debugging complex integration bottlenecks between your Java services and Angular views. Expect to collaborate heavily with DevOps and QA teams to push containers through CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, production-level proficiency in Java for server-side logic and Angular for the UI layer, as these form the foundational pillars of this role. Alongside these, a strong grasp of REST and GraphQL APIs, Maven/Gradle for deployment, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes are non-negotiable because the client expects seamless, scalable code delivery from day one.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring managers to test your ability to handle asynchronous data flow and state management in Angular while simultaneously grilling you on Java concurrency and memory management. They are secretly looking for someone who doesn't just write functional code, but understands the security and performance implications of every architectural decision in a high-stakes financial ecosystem.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume strongly highlights your dual-threat capabilities in both Java and Angular, rather than leaning too heavily on just one side of the stack. Explicitly mention your experience with API integrations, containerization tools like Docker, and security protocols like OAuth2 so your application sails past the ATS and lands directly on the technical recruiter's desk.
