Business System Analyst - RCM, WFM

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting Business System Analyst role focused squarely on healthcare Revenue Cycle Management and Workforce Management. If you know your way around claims lifecycles, denials, and inventory workflows while writing complex SQL queries in your sleep, this long-term contract is worth your time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll be the crucial bridge between messy healthcare operations and the data engineering team. Your day-to-day involves extracting and reconciling massive datasets using advanced SQL, gathering requirements from stakeholders, and turning operational headaches into clean capacity forecasts and productivity reporting solutions. You'll spend a lot of time defining KPIs, running root cause analyses on data discrepancies, and making sure UAT actually reflects real-world workflows.

The Core Tech Stack

SQL is non-negotiable here; you need to be comfortable writing CTEs, window functions, and optimized stored procedures to pull data from complex healthcare sources. On top of that, your deep domain expertise in RCM (billing, A/R, denials management) and WFM concepts (forecasting, scheduling, real-time management) will dictate whether you succeed. Bonus points if you've poked around Azure, Databricks, or Power BI, but your SQL prowess and healthcare operations background are what will actually get you through the door.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a gnarly SQL problem at you involving multiple joins, conditional aggregation, or window functions to calculate rolling productivity metrics across a massive claims dataset. They want to see how you optimize queries that are bogging down reporting. They'll also likely grill you on a real-world scenario where RCM data doesn't match up with operational reality, testing how you trace the error back through the billing lifecycle and communicate the fix to non-technical stakeholders.

Application Advice

Skip the generic corporate fluff on your resume and put your healthcare RCM metrics and advanced SQL capabilities right at the top. Use exact keywords from the description like "Denials Management," "Capacity Forecasting," "CTEs," and "Claims Lifecycle" so you easily clear the ATS filters. In your summary, highlight your specific experience bridging the gap between clinical/operational business units and technical data teams, as that dual-threat capability is exactly what they are hiring for.
