Product Manager - Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting enterprise product role focused entirely on owning, implementing, and optimizing a new Contract Lifecycle Management platform from scratch. You will be acting as the connective tissue between Legal, Procurement, Finance, and IT to wrangle messy legacy contracts into a single, compliant source of truth.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days bridging the gap between rigid legal requirements and practical technical implementation. Expect to lead the migration and consolidation of contracts from fragmented legacy systems, map out complex approval and signature workflows, and drive user adoption across cross-functional teams who are naturally resistant to process changes. You are not just managing software; you are fixing how an entire enterprise handles its risk and vendor relationships.

The Core Tech Stack

Your bread and butter here will be enterprise CLM platforms, e-signature tools, and deep workflow automation engines. You need to intimately understand contract data models, metadata taxonomy, clause libraries, and how to safely integrate these systems with existing ERP and procurement platforms. If you don't know the mechanics of contract migration and data reconciliation cold, you're going to struggle with the data hygiene challenges this role presents.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your battle scars around stakeholder management and failed migrations. They will likely ask you how you handle conflicting requirements between a hyper-cautious Legal team and a fast-moving Procurement department, looking to see if you can establish clear governance without killing business velocity. They'll also probe into a specific time you managed a messy data migration, digging into how you handled legacy data reconciliation and edge cases without derailing the launch timeline.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume screams enterprise governance and cross-functional leadership, specifically highlighting terms like Contract Lifecycle Management, legacy migration, workflow optimization, and stakeholder management. Don't just list features you built; quantify the scale of the repositories you've managed and the cycle-time reductions you achieved in past platform rollouts to prove you can handle enterprise scale.
