Job Description & Details
This is a heavyweight architecture role where you'll be steering the entire security posture for massive SAP landscapes, specifically around S/4HANA and Fiori migrations. If you enjoy untangling complex authorization matrices and designing enterprise-grade access control frameworks from the ground up, this gig will keep you busy and challenged.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days designing and governing enterprise security architecture, translating complex business processes into tight role-based access controls. Expect to lead S/4HANA and Fiori security implementations, wrangling GRC and IAG tools to ensure compliance while keeping business friction to a minimum. You will act as the bridge between technical teams and executive stakeholders, driving security governance and mentoring junior folks on best practices.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, battle-tested expertise in SAP S/4HANA Security and SAP Fiori Security Design and Administration, because securing modern Fiori apps is completely different from the old GUI days. Mastery of SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG) is non-negotiable here. Experience within CPG, Retail, or Manufacturing domains will make or break your ability to talk the talk with their business units.
Interview Expectations
Expect them to throw a complex SoD (Segregation of Duties) conflict scenario at you involving custom S/4HANA apps and Fiori catalog authorizations, wanting to know your exact approach to mitigation without breaking user productivity. They will also test your leadership mettle by asking how you handle pushback from business stakeholders who want 'SAP All' access for convenience, so be ready with real-world examples of how you enforce security without becoming a roadblock.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume screams 'SAP S/4HANA Security Architect' right at the top, and explicitly list your experience with Fiori catalogs, tiles, and semantic objects alongside GRC and IAG configurations. Weave in metrics related to how many users you've managed and audit findings you've resolved in past CPG or retail implementations to easily clear their automated ATS filters.
