Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting SAP Security Architect role focused on large-scale enterprise environments within consumer goods and retail. You aren't just maintaining user IDs here; you are owning the entire security posture, role redesigns, and risk frameworks for massive S/4HANA and Fiori landscapes.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days architecting complex authorization concepts, untangling Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts, and implementing automated access governance using SAP GRC and IAG. Expect to interface directly with business stakeholders and auditors to ensure compliance across global SAP transformation programs while locking down Fiori apps and backend S/4HANA systems against modern threats.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute mastery over SAP S/4HANA Security and Fiori Security, alongside deep practical knowledge of SAP GRC and IAG. Since this environment touches CPG and retail domains, understanding enterprise-wide SoD rulesets and complex role design methodologies is non-negotiable. Bonus points if you've already dealt with SAP BTP or SuccessFactors security integrations in previous global rollouts.

Interview Expectations

Be prepared for deep-dive architectural scenarios, such as explaining how you would design a zero-trust role concept for custom Fiori apps while managing conflicting SoD risks between MM and FI modules. The hiring manager is testing whether you can push back against business users demanding 'SAP_ALL' access and instead architect a secure, compliant, and friction-free user experience.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream 10+ years of dedicated SAP security architecture, not general basis administration. Make sure keywords like SAP S/4HANA Security, Fiori Security Design, SAP IAG, and Segregation of Duties are front and center, backed by hard metrics on how many users or global rollouts you've successfully managed.
