Job Description & Details
This role places you right at the intersection of client relationship management and complex SAP cloud operations. As a Customer Delivery Manager, you'll act as the primary voice of the client, balancing satisfaction, contract adherence, and profitability for enterprise accounts.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day involves acting as the central hub for all account activities, keeping internal delivery teams, technical service managers, and client C-level stakeholders on the same page. You'll drive cloud transformation agendas, manage S/4HANA adoption, run governance meetings, and handle the commercial realities of change requests and project profitability. When critical situations flare up, you are expected to step in, de-escalate, and steer the engagement back on track.
The Core Tech Stack
You need a solid foundation in SAP's cloud business models, hybrid infrastructures, and cloud operations. A strong grasp of SAP Basis, core technology, and technical infrastructure—specifically virtualized system landscapes—is non-negotiable because you'll frequently translate dense technical constraints into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring managers to test your crisis management and de-escalation skills by asking you to walk through a time an enterprise client was furious about a missed SLA or failed deployment. They want to see how you balance internal resource constraints while keeping the customer calm and confident. You should also be ready to explain how you identify upselling and growth opportunities within an existing account without damaging the client relationship.
Application Advice
To make your resume stand out to the ATS, ensure you explicitly highlight your years of experience managing multiple external clients simultaneously in an SAP environment. Weave in metrics related to contract profitability, successful S/4HANA cloud onboarding, and major service-level improvements rather than just listing job duties.
