Job Description & Details
This is a straightforward backfill role for a Microsoft developer who knows their way around the Alkami digital banking platform. You will be stepping into a traditional environment to handle support, new feature rollouts, and custom widget implementations for financial institutions without needing any hand-holding.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will be a mix of implementing custom solutions within the Alkami framework, squashing bugs across dev and production, and writing clean code to enhance their financial-oriented web apps. You'll work closely with product managers and QA teams to build scalable platform frameworks, and yes, you'll also be expected to handle occasional off-hours support when production acts up.
The Core Tech Stack
C#, .NET Core, and the Alkami SDK are your bread and butter here. You absolutely must have hands-on experience architecting custom widgets and modules within Alkami. On top of that, you'll need solid proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, HTML5, TypeScript, and PowerShell to manage the full stack of these secure financial applications.
Interview Expectations
You'll likely be asked to walk through how you would architect a custom widget using the Alkami SDK while maintaining strict security standards for a banking client. The hiring manager isn't just looking for syntax here—they want to see how you handle state management, data binding, and performance bottlenecks in a high-availability environment. Be ready to discuss a time you debugged a tricky production issue under pressure.
Application Advice
Skip the generic tech buzzwords and put your Alkami experience front and center on your resume. Make sure explicit keywords like 'Alkami SDK', 'C#', '.NET Core', and 'financial-oriented web applications' are clearly visible to get past the automated screeners. Highlight any past work where you integrated third-party systems into digital banking platforms or built custom widgets from scratch.
