Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting Lead EUC Engineer role where you will be stepping in to own and scale complex enterprise collaboration infrastructure. If you enjoy wrangling massive Microsoft ecosystems and guiding global teams through tight deadlines, this contract gives you the autonomy to make a massive impact.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days architecting, troubleshooting, and optimizing the core collaboration backbone of a major enterprise environment. Your time will be split between hands-on engineering for SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, and steering global stakeholders away from operational bottlenecks. You will constantly balance performance tuning with budget and timeline constraints while mentoring engineers and keeping systems airtight.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to practically live and breathe the Microsoft 365 stack, with deep expert-level knowledge in SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive administration. This isn't just about clicking buttons in an admin center; you must understand tenant-level configurations, governance, security compliance, and migration mechanics. The hiring team needs someone who can instantly diagnose why a cross-tenant sync failed or why a global policy is breaking SharePoint permissions.
Interview Expectations
Expect the interview panel to throw a complex scenario at you regarding a botched enterprise-wide Microsoft Teams or SharePoint migration and ask how you would salvage it under a strict executive deadline. They want to see how you think on your feet, assess risk, and communicate technical failures to non-technical leadership without causing panic. They are also going to test your architectural vision around M365 governance and how you handle conflicting demands from global stakeholders.
Application Advice
Skip the generic resume buzzwords and focus heavily on measurable enterprise metrics. Make sure terms like "SharePoint Administration," "Microsoft Teams Governance," "OneDrive Enterprise Deployment," and "Global Stakeholder Management" are explicitly written in your experience section so you can easily clear their automated ATS filters. Highlight any past contract roles where you led a team or managed complex collaboration migrations from start to finish.
