Functional Template Consultant WMS

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a specialized, hands-on configuration gig focused entirely on maintaining and scaling a global Manhattan Active WMS template. If you enjoy deep system parameter tuning and keeping warehouse operations standardized rather than drowning in custom hacks, this role lets you focus on clean, scalable architecture.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around translating functional designs into rock-solid Manhattan Active WM configurations using the Configuration Director. You will spend a lot of time handling the full lifecycle of warehouse workflows—from receiving and putaway to picking, packing, and shipping—while making sure that client-specific requests don't break the integrity of the global template. You will be working directly with architecture, QA, and extension development teams to validate deployments, debug configuration conflicts, and keep global operations running smoothly.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely must have deep, hands-on experience with Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) and its Configuration Director tool. This isn't a high-level strategy role; you need to understand the underlying business rules, parameters, and workflow dependencies of MAWM inside and out. Knowing how warehouse operational processes map into modern WMS configuration tools is non-negotiable if you want to survive the tricky edge cases this global template will throw at you.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to grill you on how you handle configuration dependencies and version control within Manhattan Active WMS. They will likely ask you to walk through a scenario where a local market demands a custom workflow that threatens to bloat the global template, and they will want to hear how you pushed back to enforce standardization. They are secretly looking for a consultant who doesn't just click buttons in the UI, but someone who understands the downstream ripple effects of every parameter change on overall system performance.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume screams Manhattan Active WMS and Configuration Director right at the top. Don't just list generic WMS experience; explicitly highlight terms like 'global template configuration,' 'reusable WMS functionality,' and specific warehouse modules like replenishment, putaway, and shipping. The ATS will be hunting for exact matches around MAWM configuration and cross-functional deployment, so weave those keywords directly into your project achievements to guarantee you get past the initial screen.
