Senior SAP MM Techno-Functional Consultant

Cynet Systems Inc.

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting contract role for a Senior SAP MM Techno-Functional Consultant who actually knows how to write and debug code alongside standard configuration. You will be stepping into an enterprise environment in Austin to drive critical S/4HANA migration initiatives and handle complex RICEFW objects. If you are someone who only does configuration and hands off ABAP to a separate dev team, you are going to struggle here.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days knee-deep in procurement, inventory management, invoice verification, and master data while orchestrating massive integration points with FI/CO, SD, PP, and EWM. A huge part of your bandwidth will be consumed by S/4HANA migration tasks—specifically handling Business Partner/CVI conversions, MATDOC adjustments, custom code remediation, and running the Migration Cockpit. Expect to juggle cross-functional roadblocks, troubleshoot thorny IDoc failures, and align business stakeholders with IT execution.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute mastery over SAP Materials Management paired with strong hands-on ABAP capabilities including BAPIs, user exits, enhancements, forms, and workflows. On top of that, you must be comfortable navigating integrations via PI/PO, CPI, and EDI. Experience in high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor environments, along with familiarity with Fiori, CDS views, and SAP Ariba, will be your ticket to hitting the ground running.

Interview Expectations

The hiring manager is likely going to drill down into your exact methodology for handling Business Partner CVI conversion during an ECC to S/4HANA migration. They want to hear about specific data cleansing strategies and how you resolved synchronization errors between customer/vendor objects. You should also expect a scenario-based question regarding a failed complex IDoc interface tied to a third-party logistics system, where they will test your debugging process and cross-module integration logic under pressure.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream technical depth rather than just high-level functional overviews. Make sure you explicitly highlight your past ECC to S/4HANA migration projects, detailing your exact involvement with MATDOC and Migration Cockpit. Ensure keywords like 'RICEFW', 'CVI', 'PI/PO', and 'IDocs' are prominent to clear the automated screening filters, and spell out specific manufacturing or high-tech supply chain use cases you have successfully delivered.
