Data Analyst - Healthcare

AaraTech Inc

Job Description & Details

This is a solid mid-level healthcare analytics role where you will actually get to touch data pipelines and build reporting tools that impact clinical and operational decisions. If you enjoy cleaning messy medical datasets and turning them into actionable dashboards without drowning in corporate red tape, this position is worth your time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend a good chunk of your week wrangling healthcare data from disparate sources, running validation checks to ensure compliance and accuracy, and writing SQL queries to pull the exact metrics stakeholders are asking for. Beyond the extraction phase, you'll be building and maintaining Tableau or Power BI dashboards, tracking KPIs, and sitting down with business leads to figure out what their reporting requirements actually mean in practice.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to be dangerous with SQL and comfortable writing complex queries to extract data from relational databases. On top of that, your Excel game needs to be strong—think pivot tables, advanced formulas, and clean chart design—alongside hands-on experience building interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Knowing how to spot anomalies during the data cleaning phase will make or break your day-to-day success here.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a messy SQL scenario at you, likely involving joins, aggregations, and filtering through a hypothetical clinical dataset, where they are secretly checking if you write readable, optimized code and double-check your edge cases. They will also probably ask you to walk through a time you found an error in a report before it went to stakeholders, evaluating your attention to detail and how you handle data quality issues under pressure.

Application Advice

Skip the generic template and tailor your resume to highlight your hands-on experience with healthcare data metrics and dashboard development. Make sure keywords like SQL, Tableau, Power BI, data cleaning, and KPI reporting are front and center so you easily clear the ATS, and explicitly mention any complex data reconciliation projects you've owned from start to finish.
