SAP Solution Architect (Order to cash)

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting architecture gig centered entirely around a high-stakes M&A integration initiative involving SAP S/4HANA and the SEMrush acquisition. If you don't eat, sleep, and breathe complex Order-to-Cash pipelines and subscription billing models, this onsite San Jose role will chew you up and spit you out. You are stepping in to immediately drive end-to-end architecture with virtually zero ramp-up time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days knee-deep in Fit-Gap analysis, workshops, and cross-functional discovery sessions to figure out how to graft legacy or disparate systems onto a unified SAP S/4HANA backbone. Expect to map out integration points between commerce, CRM, and provisioning systems while translating messy business requirements into concrete architectural blueprints. You'll be the bridge between Product, Engineering, and SAP enterprise standards, meaning you'll need to defend your design choices against aggressive timelines.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep scars in SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash, Billing, and Invoicing, backed by robust CPQ and Pros configurator tool knowledge. Because this is heavily focused on SaaS and subscription models, your grasp of Subscription Order Management (SOM) and complex pricing architectures is non-negotiable. Add in at least 5 years of provisioning and AUP process experience, and you'll survive the architectural onslaught.

Interview Expectations

They will likely ask you to walk through a scenario where you have to migrate O2C processes from a non-SAP environment like Oracle into SAP S/4HANA under an aggressive M&A timeline. The hiring manager is secretly testing your ability to handle ambiguity and push back on business stakeholders who want quick fixes instead of scalable enterprise architecture. Another classic they'll hit you with is explaining how you handle a critical gap discovered during a Fit-Gap workshop that threatens the integration timeline.

Application Advice

Do not send a generic SAP resume. Make sure your CV explicitly calls out your 12+ years of O2C experience with bolded keywords like SAP S/4HANA, SOM, subscription billing, and Pros configurator. If you have direct experience handling M&A integrations, Oracle-to-SAP migrations, or SaaS provisioning pipelines, push those to the very top of page one so the ATS and the tech lead spot them immediately.
