Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-lifting finance transformation gig focused on ripping out legacy setups and standing up an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will be sitting right at the intersection of finance stakeholders and engineering teams, making sure the technical plumbing actually matches how the business tracks money. If you enjoy untangling messy data migrations and wrangling enterprise systems, this is right up your alley.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will involve translating high-level financial requirements from stakeholders into concrete technical designs within SAP S/4HANA. You will spend a lot of time mapping out the data flow for migrating legacy processes from NetSuite over to SAP, coordinating integration points with Microsoft Azure, and tracking blockers and milestones using Jira. Expect to roll up your sleeves during testing cycles, troubleshoot integration failures, and help the business survive the post-go-live turbulence.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive here, you need deep, battle-tested experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA technologies, specifically around finance modules and data architecture. Familiarity with NetSuite-to-SAP migrations is a massive plus because you will need to understand the structural gaps between both ERPs. On top of that, you should be comfortable working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments and using Jira to keep cross-functional engineering teams aligned on deliverables.
Interview Expectations
The hiring managers are going to probe deeply into your actual migration scars, so be prepared to walk through a specific time you managed a messy ERP cutover. They will likely ask you how you handle data reconciliation discrepancies between legacy systems like NetSuite and a new S/4HANA target state. In your answers, they are secretly looking for pragmatic risk management—they want to know how you protect financial data integrity when things inevitably break during deployment.
Application Advice
Skip the generic corporate summary on your resume and put SAP S/4HANA implementation and NetSuite data migration front and center. Make sure to explicitly highlight your experience with Microsoft Azure enterprise integrations and any Jira-managed projects you have delivered. If you can prove you speak both fluent 'accounting' and fluent 'code' without relying on buzzwords, your CV will easily clear the ATS and land on the hiring manager's desk.
