Microsoft Dynamics Technical Lead

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting technical leadership role where you will act as the ultimate authority for a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. You won't just be writing code; you'll be driving architecture decisions, steering major ERP rollouts, and handling complex M&A onboarding strategies.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your days will be split between high-level architectural governance and guiding distributed technical teams. You will own the end-to-end solution design, ensuring that business requests align with out-of-the-box D365 capabilities rather than unnecessary custom code. Expect to spend a lot of time collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Data teams to build repeatable integration patterns, manage Microsoft's rapid release cycles, and steer the platform through massive organizational growth.

The Core Tech Stack

To survive here, you need deep, battle-tested expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales, Service, Marketing) and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse). Beyond the UI, you must be fluent in Azure Integration Services, enterprise APIs, middleware, and complex data migration frameworks. The company values a cloud-first, standards-based approach, so knowing how to scale these systems globally without breaking enterprise security models is critical.

Interview Expectations

When you sit down with the engineering leadership, expect them to test your architectural battle scars. They will likely ask you to explain a time you managed a chaotic M&A data migration or carved out a subsidiary from a legacy CRM into a shared D365 tenant, listening closely to how you handled data mapping bottlenecks and stakeholder pushback. They will also drill down into your governance strategy—specifically, how you enforce out-of-the-box configurations over custom plugins when business stakeholders demand bespoke features.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume screams enterprise-scale D365 delivery rather than basic admin work. Highlight keywords like 'Dynamics 365 CE', 'Power Platform', 'Azure Integration Services', 'SDLC governance', and 'M&A data migration' front and center. If you have led global distributed teams or managed tier-1 system integrators, put those metrics and leadership highlights right at the top to clear their ATS and grab the hiring manager's attention.
