Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting technical leadership role where you'll act as the de facto authority for a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. You aren't just writing code here; you're driving enterprise-level architecture decisions, managing integrations with new ERP rollouts, and orchestrating complex M&A data onboarding strategies. If you enjoy untangling massive technical roadmaps and keeping distributed vendor teams aligned with strict SDLC standards, this one is right in your wheelhouse.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your days will be a mix of high-level architecture planning and hands-on guidance for your internal and external engineering squads. You'll spend a lot of time collaborating with Enterprise Architecture to ensure out-of-the-box configurations take priority over messy custom code, while also designing repeatable data migration frameworks to onboard newly acquired companies. Expect to lead Design Review Boards, troubleshoot complex API or Azure middleware integration bottlenecks, and steer the platform safely through rapid Microsoft release cycles.
The Core Tech Stack
You need absolute mastery over Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules (Sales, Service, Marketing) and the broader Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. Beyond the UI, deep hands-on fluency in Azure Integration Services, enterprise-grade API development, and robust data migration strategies are non-negotiable because you'll be bridging the gap between Dynamics and brand-new enterprise ERP systems.
Interview Expectations
When you sit down with the hiring managers, expect them to test your architectural battle scars by asking how you would handle a scenario where an upcoming Microsoft platform update breaks a custom integration during an active M&A data carve-in. They are secretly looking for your ability to balance out-of-the-box system compliance with pragmatic business urgency. You will also likely be grilled on your governance strategies—specifically, how you enforce SDLC traceability and manage technical debt when external vendors try to take shortcuts under tight deadlines.
Application Advice
To get past the ATS and catch the eye of the technical recruiter, your resume needs to scream enterprise-scale leadership rather than just basic admin tasks. Explicitly highlight your 12+ years of experience managing global, distributed teams and large-scale Dynamics transformations. Make sure keywords like 'Azure Integration Services', 'Power Platform Dataverse', 'SDLC governance', and 'M&A data migration' are front and center in your work history to prove you can handle the complexity of this ecosystem on day one.
