AV/UC Support Lead

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting AV and Unified Communications leadership role where you'll own the entire conference room and video collaboration ecosystem. You'll be managing people, defining support processes, and handling Tier 3 escalations for massive enterprise meeting platforms.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to split your time between strategic program ownership and rolling up your sleeves for complex troubleshooting. You will lead a team of AV support specialists, manage vendor relationships with integrators and OEMs, and oversee the rollout of new conference room spaces. On any given day, you might be designing room standards, reviewing incident KPIs, ensuring zero-failure execution for executive town halls, and forecasting hardware lifecycle refreshes.

The Core Tech Stack

Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Cisco video endpoints anchor this environment, so you need deep enterprise experience with these platforms. Hardware-wise, you'll live and breathe Poly phones, advanced displays, DSPs, codecs, cameras, microphones, and control systems. Because AV is heavily dependent on the network layer, you must also be comfortable talking shop about VLANs, QoS, PoE, and LAN/WAN fundamentals when diagnosing stubborn streaming or audio issues.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring panel to test your incident management under pressure, particularly how you handle a complete outage minutes before a C-suite town hall. They will likely ask you to walk through a root cause analysis for a recurring, intermittent audio-video sync issue in a hybrid meeting room, looking closely at how you systematically isolate firmware, network, and hardware variables.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume leans hard into the numbers—mention ticket volumes, uptime percentages, team sizes you've managed, and specific budget scopes you've owned. Weave in keywords like Cisco video endpoints, CTS certification, ITSM/ServiceNow, and vendor SLA management so you easily clear the ATS filters before a human engineering lead reviews your background.
