Senior Oracle EBS / EAM Consultant

NJ TECH INC

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty, onsite Oracle EBS support and development gig where you'll be managing a mission-critical R12.2.15 environment with a heavy lean into Enterprise Asset Management. If you enjoy diving deep into complex PL/SQL packages, troubleshooting stubborn integrations, and working directly with plant or operational stakeholders in Houston, this role offers plenty of technical depth without any boring maintenance cycles.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days acting as the go-to technical resource for Oracle E-Business Suite, balancing production support firefighting with custom development. Expect to write complex PL/SQL scripts, build or modify OAF pages, configure Oracle APEX applications, and troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks. A lot of your time will also be spent dealing with integrations—making sure data flows smoothly between Oracle EAM, dataPARC, and external platforms like Boomi while adhering strictly to SOX compliance and change management protocols.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely need deep, battle-tested experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.15 and Oracle EAM, alongside rock-solid PL/SQL, SQL, and Java skills. Because this environment relies heavily on custom extensions, your hands-on proficiency with OAF and Oracle APEX will be tested daily. Familiarity with auxiliary tools like Toad, Linux environments, and middleware integration tools like Boomi or Python automation scripts will make or break your ability to ramp up quickly on day one.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to hand you a scenario where a custom OAF page or PL/SQL concurrent program is locking up production during a high-volume data load, and they'll want you to walk them through your exact debugging methodology using Oracle trace files and execution plans. They'll also likely probe your specific experience with Oracle EAM integrations, asking how you handle data syncing failures between maintenance modules and external systems like dataPARC or GE Vernova APM while maintaining tight audit trails for SOX compliance.

Application Advice

To get past the automated screening, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on years with Oracle OAF, APEX, and PL/SQL rather than just listing them as passive skills. Ditch the generic summaries and put concrete metrics around your EBS production support background, explicitly mentioning specific releases like R12.2.15, your familiarity with change management frameworks, and any direct experience you have supporting EAM or manufacturing assets.
