Oracle GTM Cloud Solutions Architect

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting, enterprise-grade architecture gig focused on Oracle Global Trade Management and Transportation Management. If you don't have deep scars from managing complex supply chain transformations and wrestling with OTM XML schemas, this one will chew you up.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll be spending your days driving end-to-end GTM and OTM implementations, which means translating messy business requirements into concrete solution designs and prototype configurations. You won't just be drawing architecture diagrams; you'll be knee-deep in UAT support, fixing live implementation snags, and working out how requested change requests are going to break your existing setups. Expect to also play a hybrid advisory role, helping out with sales demos and mentoring junior folks on best practices.

The Core Tech Stack

You need absolute mastery over Oracle OTM and GTM implementations—we are talking at least two full lifecycles here. Beyond the core modules like Transportation Planning and Shipment Management, you must know your way around OTM XML schemas, the 6.x database data model, and ETL processes. Strong SQL is non-negotiable for writing BI publisher reports, and any background you have in OTM performance tuning, custom extensions, and Fleet Management will keep you from drowning in the technical debt.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a complex integration failure scenario at you, asking how you would debug a bottlenecked OTM interface using XML transmissions and SQL logs. They are secretly testing whether you actually know how the underlying data model behaves under heavy loads, rather than just knowing how to click around the UI. You should also be ready to explain a time you had to design a custom extension to plug an OTM gap without breaking upgrade paths.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to scream Oracle OTM/GTM implementation veteran, so ditch the fluff and explicitly list the number of end-to-end deployments you've led. Make sure keywords like 'XML Schema', 'BI Publisher', 'Transportation Planning', and 'ETL Processes' are front and center to pass the automated screening, and highlight any domain experience you have with 3PL, 4PL, or logistics management.
