Senior Product Delivery Manager/Project Manager

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting modernization gig where you'll be replacing a legacy events system that currently handles 50,000 events and 2.2 million registrations annually. You're not just organizing meetings here; you're orchestrating a massive platform consolidation across catering, AV, Zoom, and financials for a global enterprise. If you like high-stakes stakeholder management and untangling messy legacy architecture, this one's for you.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around wrestling scope, defining MVPs, and keeping distributed teams across Jersey City, Delaware, and India aligned. You'll own the roadmap and backlog, acting as the bridge between demanding business stakeholders and hard-coding engineering squads. Expect plenty of difficult tradeoff conversations where you'll need to say 'no' to feature creep while keeping the delivery train moving on schedule.

The Core Tech Stack

While you won't be writing code, you need to live and breathe Agile methodologies, Jira, and robust roadmap tooling. The real kicker here is platform modernization and system integration experience, because you're replacing IEMS and tying together disparate tools like AV, catering, and cost centers. If you've previously shipped global enterprise dashboards or cloud data platforms, you'll feel right at home navigating these architectural dependencies.

Interview Expectations

They are going to test your mettle on scope management by asking you how you handled a situation where a key executive wanted to add a massive feature right before an alpha release. The hiring manager is secretly looking for backbone, structured decision-making frameworks, and proof that you can protect your engineering team from burnout. Another favorite will be asking how you align cross-functional, globally distributed teams across different time zones without losing velocity.

Application Advice

Skip the generic project management fluff and put your platform modernization metrics front and center on your resume. Highlight terms like 'legacy-system replacement,' 'Agile backlog ownership,' and 'global stakeholder communication' so you clear the ATS easily. If you have any background in events tech, facilities management, or financial reconciliation, make sure those projects are highlighted right at the top.
