Job Description & Details
This Forward Deployed Engineer gig is a classic high-autonomy, client-facing hybrid role where you bridge the gap between heavy architecture and practical AI execution. If you enjoy rapid prototyping and want to build agentic analytics pipelines without getting bogged down in corporate red tape, this contract is worth your time.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days rapidly turning proof-of-concepts into working software, specifically focusing on agentic analytics pipelines for the insurance domain. Expect to talk to architects and product managers, take rough requirements, and ship functioning prototypes within days. You'll be dealing with the messy reality of data ingestion, AI tooling integration, and occasionally touching legacy codebases to make things work.
The Core Tech Stack
You need to be genuinely fluent in Python and TypeScript because you'll be writing full-stack code that interfaces heavily with modern AI and ML tooling. On top of that, you need working familiarity with .Net and C#; you won't necessarily be building greenfield .Net applications, but you must be able to read, understand, and make edits to existing C# environments without breaking the system.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on your system design instincts and how you handle ambiguity when building AI prototypes under tight deadlines. They will likely ask you how you would design an agentic pipeline to parse unstructured insurance documents, looking specifically for your practical approach to error handling, cost management of LLMs, and state management. They want to see if you can balance speed with clean, maintainable architecture.
Application Advice
When tailoring your resume, make sure Python, TypeScript, and AI/ML integrations are front and center, but don't bury your .Net or C# experience at the bottom. Since this is an insurance domain project, highlight any past experience you have dealing with complex data pipelines, enterprise integrations, or financial/insurance workflows to easily clear their initial ATS filters.
