Enterprise Architect

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting Enterprise Architect role where you'll spend less time pushing code and a lot more time steering the technical ship. You will sit at the intersection of business strategy and hands-on engineering, figuring out how to modernize legacy systems while scaling cloud-native infrastructure without breaking production.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Expect to spend your days defining target-state architectures, reviewing designs from multiple development squads, and running proof-of-concepts for new cloud services. You'll constantly balance the friction between moving fast with microservices and maintaining strict security, governance, and scalability across hybrid environments. A lot of your time will go into stakeholder management—translating complex technical debt and cloud roadmaps into language that non-technical leadership can actually approve and fund.

The Core Tech Stack

Microsoft Azure is the absolute backbone here, so you need to be fluent in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), PaaS offerings, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. On the application side, heavy expertise in ASP.NET Core, .NET, and Angular is non-negotiable since you'll be guiding teams building modern web apps. You'll also need deep fluency in event-driven architecture, API management, microservices design patterns, and integrating everything with PostgreSQL and Microsoft Entra ID.

Interview Expectations

When you get in front of the hiring panel, be ready to defend a time you migrated a monolithic legacy application to a cloud-native microservices architecture under strict deadlines. The interviewers are secretly testing your pragmatism; they want to see if you can balance textbook enterprise architecture with the messy reality of delivery schedules, technical debt, and team pushback. They will likely grill you on handling distributed transactions and state management in an event-driven setup.

Application Advice

Skip the generic architectural buzzwords and tailor your resume to scream Azure cloud modernization and .NET enterprise scale. Explicitly highlight your experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, API-led integration, and governance frameworks right near the top so you can easily clear the initial ATS keyword filters. Make sure your resume tells a clear story of how your technical leadership directly translated into scalable, secure systems that business stakeholders actually understood.
