RPA Platform Engineer

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty infrastructure and governance role for someone who knows the Microsoft Power Platform and Blue Prism inside out. You aren't just building bots here; you are building the entire guardrail system, managing tenants, and keeping enterprise-grade automation from turning into a security nightmare.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days wrangling tenant administration, setting up environment strategies, and making sure license control doesn't break the bank. A big chunk of your time goes into governance—dealing with DLP policies, managing citizen developers, and making sure deployments don't crash production. You'll also handle the less glamorous but critical work of platform health monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting weird integration issues between Dataverse, Power Automate, and Blue Prism.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested experience with Power Platform tenant administration, Blue Prism administration, and Dataverse implementations. If you haven't set up complex Data Loss Prevention policies, managed environment lifecycles at scale, or handled VNet integration and RBAC in a corporate environment, this gig is going to eat you alive. Copilot Studio and Power Apps development experience round out the stack, meaning you need to understand both the low-code front end and the heavy enterprise backend.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to throw a scenario at you about a rogue citizen developer breaking production due to poor ALM and ask how you would lock it down without killing business agility. They are secretly testing your balance between strict enterprise security and practical enablement. You'll also likely get grilled on Dataverse capacity management and tenant-level DLP strategy, so be ready to talk through specific architectures you've designed to prevent data leaks across disparate connectors.

Application Advice

Skip the generic resume fluff and directly tie your past experience to the exact keywords in this JD. Make sure terms like 'Environment lifecycle management', 'Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy management', and 'Blue prism administration' stand out prominently so you easily clear their ATS filters. Highlight any time you successfully built an enterprise operating model or governance board from scratch, as that is the exact pain point they are trying to solve.
