Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting 11-month contract for a senior frontend engineer who knows their way around enterprise architecture, not just throwing together basic UI components. You will be building and maintaining complex, high-performance web applications in a hybrid setup requiring at least three days onsite in Alpharetta, GA.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will involve designing and developing high-performance Single Page Applications using React while regularly collaborating with cross-functional squads, including product management, architecture, and infrastructure teams. You'll juggle new feature development, track down tricky maintenance fixes, and occasionally step outside the frontend sandbox to touch Java, Spring, or DevOps codebases when shaping end-to-end solutions for financial products.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive here, you need absolute mastery over modern JavaScript, React, and state management like MobX, alongside a solid grasp of TypeScript and RxJS. Because this role touches financial markets and banking platforms, you will also need to be comfortable working alongside backend systems built on Java, Spring Boot, and relational databases like Oracle or Sybase, making full-stack fluency a massive advantage.
Interview Expectations
Expect the engineering panel to drill down into your React performance optimization techniques, particularly how you handle complex state management, garbage collection, and avoiding unnecessary re-renders in large-scale SPAs. They are secretly testing whether you can independently diagnose architectural bottlenecks and mentor junior engineers without missing a beat.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume strongly highlights your 9+ years of frontend experience, emphasizing heavy enterprise React work alongside TypeScript, Webpack, and RESTful APIs. Do not leave off your backend touches; weave in keywords like Java, Spring Boot, Git, Agile/Scrum, and responsive design to get past the initial ATS filters and show you can handle the full scope of this financial tech stack.
