Senior Enterprise/ Solutions Architect

ERP Analysts, Inc.

Job Description & Details

This is a 6-month contract gig acting as a Senior Enterprise and Solutions Architect, aligning directly with public sector and state agency business units like Unemployment Compensation and Workforce Development. You will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution, making it a heavy stakeholder-management role rather than just a coding job.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend a good chunk of your day facilitating strategic planning sessions with business strategists, process owners, and senior leadership across multiple administrative areas. Your practical deliverables will include building Business Capability Modeling artifacts and mapping out complex Customer Journey Maps. You'll work closely with internal IT teams, application development managers, and operations leads to ensure the technical roadmap actually serves the operational goals of the agency.

The Core Tech Stack

While this role is less about writing code and more about strategic system design, you absolutely need a deep background in Enterprise Architecture frameworks and Solution Architecture patterns. You must know how to construct Business Capability Models and Customer Journey Maps from scratch. The client is looking for someone who can walk into a room of non-technical stakeholders, translate chaotic business needs into clean architectural blueprints, and back them up with solid IT governance.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your communication skills just as much as your architecture chops by asking you to explain a complex technical capability model to a non-technical stakeholder. They want to see if you can manage conflicting priorities among different business units without derailing the project timeline. Be ready for a deep dive into how you handle legacy system modernization while keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly in a public sector or enterprise environment.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS and grab the recruiter's attention, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with Business Capability Modelling and Customer Journey Maps. Don't just list your technical titles; use exact keywords from the job description like 'Business Relationship Management', 'Strategic Planning', and 'Solution Architecture' in your professional summary. Since this is an urgent requirement with ERP Analysts, reaching out directly via email with a targeted resume emphasizing your enterprise architecture background will be your best bet.
