This is a hands-on, heavy-integration contract role focused heavily on building out and maintaining SailPoint Identity Security Cloud workflows, rules, and custom connectors. If you enjoy untangling messy enterprise access governance challenges and wiring up disparate systems, this 12-month gig gives you plenty of runway to do just that.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll be embedded with an existing identity team to support critical FY27 CAPEX deliverables, meaning your day-to-day will involve translating technical specs into functional code for complex new features and enhancements. You won't just be clicking buttons in a GUI; you'll be actively building out custom SailPoint integrations with enterprise platforms like SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, and various PAM solutions. Expect to write custom workflows, forms, and BeanShell/JavaScript rules while making sure compliance mandates and UAR demands don't break ongoing IAM operations.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, hands-on fluency in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud backed by an active certification, plus rock-solid Java/J2EE and BeanShell or JavaScript scripting skills. Because you'll be integrating everything from SCIM and REST APIs to legacy and cloud databases, strong foundational knowledge of RDBMS (SQL/Oracle), PowerShell, and Git/Bitbucket workflows is non-negotiable. They are also looking for someone who genuinely understands IGA protocols like OAuth, SAML, and SCIM without needing hand-holding.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to grill you on your real-world experience troubleshooting complex SailPoint ISC connectors, specifically how you handle pagination, error handling, and performance bottlenecks when pulling data from massive systems like SAP or ServiceNow. They'll likely throw a scenario at you about optimizing a slow-running Access Review or custom search query report to see if you actually know how to write efficient code that won't choke the SaaS tenant.
