Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty, hands-on Senior SDET role requiring a full decade of experience building scalable enterprise automation architectures. You will not just be writing basic UI scripts; you will be architecting entire quality engineering frameworks from scratch and integrating them into fast-moving CI/CD pipelines.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will heavily revolve around designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and Appium. You'll be automating complex REST APIs and web services while building reusable testing libraries, utilities, and custom test runners. Expect to spend a significant amount of time collaborating with development teams to incorporate quality gates into Jenkins pipelines and making high-level architecture decisions that impact the entire engineering organization.
The Core Tech Stack
You need deep, battle-tested proficiency in Core Java, C#, or .NET, alongside scripting chops in Python, JavaScript, and Shell. Because this is a true senior role, your resume needs to showcase mastery over UI and API automation using Selenium, Appium, Postman, and SOAPUI. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for cloud-based validation is a major plus that will help you stand out from other applicants.
Interview Expectations
Since this role requires an in-person, face-to-face interview, expect them to deeply test your system design capabilities regarding test frameworks. You will likely be asked how you would design a hybrid, data-driven automation framework from scratch for a microservices architecture, and the hiring manager is secretly listening for your ability to balance speed, maintainability, and parallel execution. Be ready for live coding or deep technical grilling on handling flaky tests in Selenium and mocking external dependencies in API testing.
Application Advice
To get past the ATS and grab the recruiter's attention, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your 10+ years of experience with Core Java, .NET, and Selenium, rather than just listing them as buzzwords. Emphasize your architectural contributions—mention specific enterprise frameworks you've designed using Cucumber, TestNG, and BDD methodologies, and clearly state how you integrated these frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
