Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-duty architecture and implementation gig focused squarely on Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service. If you know your way around complex retail supply chain transformations and have scars from legacy-to-cloud migrations, this project gives you the runway to drive major architecture decisions.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days knee-deep in solution design, mapping out business requirements, and guiding the end-to-end implementation of MFCS alongside related modules like RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM. Expect to troubleshoot gnarly integration bottlenecks, review PL/SQL code, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the cloud ecosystem scales properly without breaking downstream merchandising workflows.
The Core Tech Stack
Your primary bread and butter here is Oracle Retail MFCS, coupled with a deep fluency in RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM. You need rock-solid PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting chops, plus modern integration battle scars including REST APIs, Kafka, JSON/XML, middleware/ESB, and Oracle Integration Cloud. Bonus points if you have practical experience with Oracle APEX and AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery.
Interview Expectations
The hiring managers are going to probe deeply into your past implementation failures and recovery strategies. Be prepared for a scenario question on how you would handle a major data synchronization failure between MFCS and an external legacy warehouse via Kafka or OIC, where they will judge you just as much on your architectural troubleshooting methodology as your raw technical knowledge.
Application Advice
Skip the generic project summaries on your resume and spotlight your exact role in at least one full end-to-end Oracle Retail MFCS implementation. Make sure keywords like MFCS, ReIM, Oracle Integration Cloud, and PL/SQL are front and center so you easily clear the initial ATS filters and land on the engineering lead's desk.
