Oracle Retail MFCS SME

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting architecture role where you will be stepping into a complex retail enterprise ecosystem to drive an Oracle Retail implementation. If you enjoy untangling legacy merchandising logic and modernizing it with cloud-native tooling, this 12-month gig gives you plenty of runway to make a massive impact.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days acting as the definitive subject matter expert bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution. Expect to design end-to-end solutions, lead development sprints, and troubleshoot intricate data flows across merchandising, pricing, sales audit, and invoice matching systems. You'll be knee-deep in architecting integrations, ensuring the cloud environment handles massive transactional volume without choking.

The Core Tech Stack

Your bread and butter here is Oracle Retail MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service) alongside RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM. Because this is an advanced modern environment, you also need rock-solid PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, and hands-on chops with modern integration layers like Kafka, REST APIs, and Oracle Integration Cloud. Bonus points if you actually know your way around Oracle APEX and AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery.

Interview Expectations

They are going to test your battle scars by asking you to walk through a catastrophic integration failure in a past retail implementation and how you diagnosed it across disparate systems like MFCS and ReIM. The hiring manager is secretly testing your ability to push back on unrealistic business demands while keeping enterprise architecture clean and scalable. Be ready to defend your architectural decisions using concrete examples from past full-lifecycle implementations.

Application Advice

Skip the generic resume filler and put your Oracle Retail MFCS end-to-end implementation experience front and center. Make sure to explicitly list RMS, RPM, ReSA, and ReIM alongside your integration keywords like Kafka, OIC, and REST APIs so you easily clear the initial ATS filters. Frame your bullet points around how your architectural designs directly improved performance or reduced deployment friction for enterprise retail operations.
