Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting, enterprise-level cybersecurity transformation role where you will be orchestrating massive security initiatives across IT, OT, and IoT environments. If you enjoy wrangling complex stakeholder groups and driving risk-reduction at scale for a major industrial player, this gig gives you the runway to do it. You are stepping in to steer high-visibility programs, not just update spreadsheets.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your days will be a mix of high-level strategy and relentless coordination. You will be managing multi-year cybersecurity transformation programs, handling everything from enterprise RFPs and vendor evaluations to vulnerability remediation tracking and audit findings. Expect to partner closely with both technical teams and executive stakeholders to establish governance frameworks, run steering committees, and ensure your security initiatives actually move the needle on organizational risk.
The Core Tech Stack
You need a deep, fluent understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Technical depth across cloud, infrastructure, identity management, and operational technology (OT/IoT) is non-negotiable because you'll be coordinating security initiatives across all of them. Certifications like a PMP, CISSP, or CISM are going to be your ticket in here, proving you speak both the language of the board room and the security operations center.
Interview Expectations
When you sit down with the hiring managers, expect them to test your mettle on a scenario where a critical cybersecurity initiative is running behind schedule and over budget right before a major compliance audit. They want to see how you handle cross-functional resistance and keep stakeholders aligned without dropping the ball on security posture. Another favorite line of questioning will revolve around how you manage third-party vendor risk and navigate complex RFPs for enterprise security tools, so come with real war stories ready.
Application Advice
Your resume needs to scream enterprise program management from the very top. Don't just list tasks; highlight multi-million dollar budgets, massive cross-functional teams, and measurable risk-reduction outcomes you've driven in past roles. Make sure keywords like NIST, ISO 27001, vendor negotiations, vulnerability remediation, and executive stakeholder management are explicitly peppered into your experience section so you easily clear the ATS and catch the eye of the hiring team.
