Job Description & Details
This is a solid contract gig stepping in to drive IT Controls (TIPS) and AI Resiliency projects under a fresh enterprise program. If you know how to navigate compliance frameworks and keep technical teams moving without breathing down their necks, this role will let you showcase your organizational chops.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You will spend your days owning the project lifecycle from conception to delivery, specifically balancing IT security controls and AI resilience initiatives. Expect to write out scopes, manage budgets, track schedules, and herd technical contributors across multiple business units. Your biggest challenge won't be the tech, but rather keeping stakeholders aligned, managing scope creep, and actively sniffing out risks before they stall out deliverables.
The Core Tech Stack
You need a deep mastery of standard project management methodologies, specifically within an enterprise or HBI-aligned framework. Familiarity with IT controls, risk management, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and compliance frameworks like TIPS is non-negotiable. You also need to speak the language of AI infrastructure and software resiliency well enough to bullshit-detector your way through technical status updates.
Interview Expectations
When you sit down with the hiring manager, expect them to ask you about a time a project went completely off the rails due to unexpected risk and how you course-corrected without blowing the budget. They are secretly testing your ability to make tough trade-offs under pressure and whether you communicate proactively or hide bad news until it's too late. Another likely scenario will involve managing a resistant engineering team, where they want to see your leadership style—do you flex your authority, or do you build consensus?
Application Advice
Skip the generic project manager buzzwords and tailor your resume to highlight concrete metrics like budget sizes managed, team counts, and specific regulatory or IT control frameworks you've successfully delivered. Make sure terms like "IT Controls", "Risk Mitigation", "Scope Management", and "AI Resiliency" appear naturally in your experience bullets to clear the automated filters and immediately signal to the recruiter that you have walked this exact walk before.
