Senior Cloud Platform Architect

DMinds Solutions Inc.

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting architecture role focused on building and securing enterprise-grade Google Cloud platforms for healthcare workloads. You will be driving the infrastructure strategy, balancing the complexities of HIPAA and HITRUST compliance with the need for high availability and clean cloud economics. If you enjoy untangling legacy on-prem systems and turning them into streamlined cloud-native or re-platformed architectures, this gig will keep you deeply engaged.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will involve stepping in as the technical authority for GCP infrastructure, which means designing multi-region solutions and locking down VPCs, IAM, and data protection mechanisms. You won't just write specs; you'll actively guide platform engineering teams, drive Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code standards, and establish rigorous observability using the Cloud Operations Suite. Expect to spend a significant amount of time partnering with security and application teams to ensure disaster recovery protocols and compliance guardrails are baked into every layer of the architecture.

The Core Tech Stack

Google Cloud Platform is the undisputed anchor here, and you need to know its compute, networking, storage, and data services inside and out. Beyond GCP, absolute fluency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code is mandatory because everything needs to be repeatable and guarded against drift. Since this is healthcare, a solid understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and FedRAMP security frameworks is non-negotiable, alongside deep practical knowledge of multi-region high availability and disaster recovery patterns.

Interview Expectations

The interview panel is going to test your battle scars regarding large-scale cloud migrations and compliance. They will likely ask you to design a multi-region disaster recovery strategy for a petabyte-scale healthcare dataset while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. The hiring manager is secretly looking to see how you balance strict security controls with developer velocity—they want an architect who enables teams rather than one who just builds bureaucratic roadblocks.

Application Advice

To get past the automated screening, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, and heavy compliance frameworks like HIPAA or HITRUST. Don't just list technologies; write punchy bullet points detailing how you reduced cloud costs, enforced IAM governance at scale, or successfully migrated legacy workloads to GCP without downtime. Tie your architectural decisions directly to business outcomes.
