Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on Vendor Management Analyst role where you will act as the operational backbone for the Vendor Management Office, cleaning up data migrations, building forecasting models, and automating tedious manual reporting workflows. If you enjoy diving deep into messy financial datasets to uncover discrepancies and building sleek Power BI dashboards that actually drive business decisions, this gig is right up your alley.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Your day-to-day will involve wrangling procurement data from SAP and Ariba using DBeaver, turning that data into actionable spend and savings dashboards in Excel and Power BI, and hunting down data anomalies or potential fraud risks. You will also spend a good chunk of your time collaborating cross-functionally and dreaming up ways to eliminate manual busywork by building automated workflows in Microsoft Power Automate. Plus, you'll be working alongside a couple of junior apprentices, so being able to guide them while owning your own deliverables is key.
The Core Tech Stack
To survive and thrive here, you need to live and breathe advanced Excel and Power BI for reporting, alongside DBeaver for extracting data from heavy enterprise systems like SAP and SAP Ariba. Just as important is Microsoft Power Automate; they desperately need someone who can look at manual spreadsheet workflows and engineer automated solutions out of them. Experience handling data migrations from spreadsheets into applications is a massive bonus.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring team to test your deep analytical chops by asking you to walk through a time you reconciled conflicting financial data across multiple disparate systems and how you resolved the variance. They'll also likely present a scenario where a manual vendor reporting process is bogging down the team, wanting you to whiteboard a quick Microsoft Power Automate workflow live to show how you think about efficiency and automation.
Application Advice
Make sure your resume doesn't just list tools like Excel and Power BI, but explicitly highlights the impact of the dashboards and automated workflows you have built in past roles. Weave in keywords like spend analysis, vendor management office, data reconciliation, and SAP Ariba so you easily clear their ATS filters and land directly on the recruiter's desk.
