Job Description & Details
This is a hands-on post-go-live production support role for an enterprise migrating subscription billing to SAP RAR. You will spend your days knee-deep in revenue contract creation, event processing, allocation, and reconciliation across complex wholesale, retail, and subscription models.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll be acting as the frontline owner for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting processes, which means troubleshooting inbound event failures, fixing allocation and posting errors, and keeping month-end close moving without a hitch. You will regularly interface with OTC, GL, ABAP, and BTP teams to trace issues from upstream source transactions all the way down to downstream accounting results, performing deep root-cause analysis when things break.
The Core Tech Stack
You need rock-solid functional experience in SAP RAR configuration, source-systems integration, and BRF+ rule maintenance. Equally important is a firm grasp of ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance standards, specifically how they translate into contract modifications, deferrals, and recognition timing within SAP.
Interview Expectations
Expect the hiring manager to present a real-world scenario where a subscription renewal event fails downstream allocation, asking you to walk through your exact step-by-step triage process from the inbound interface to the GL posting. They will also drill down into your technical understanding of BRF+, so be ready to explain how you configure custom conditions and handle contract modifications under ASC 606 without breaking production.
Application Advice
To get past the ATS, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on production support background with SAP RAR configuration, BRF+, and ASC 606 / IFRS 15 compliance. Weave in specific keywords like 'revenue allocation', 'contract modification', 'post-go-live support', and 'source-system integration' so the recruiter immediately sees you can handle a high-stakes legacy modernization project.
