Job Description & Details

This short-term contract role places you right at the front lines of healthcare administration, supporting high-volume, high-risk pregnancy clinics in Fairfax. You'll be stepping in as a go-to resource for front-line staff to help hit crucial revenue cycle goals without dropping the ball on patient care.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around managing complex appointment scheduling for four demanding clinics while keeping operations running smoothly. You'll juggle multiple systems at once, acting as a supportive leader to less-experienced staff and making split-second, sound decisions when scheduling bottlenecks or patient issues pop up.

The Core Tech Stack

You need to be completely comfortable navigating EPIC and the NICE computer-based system, alongside Microsoft Teams for internal coordination. Since scheduling is a massive part of this gig, proven experience with healthcare scheduling software and solid computer literacy are non-negotiable if you want to keep up with the volume.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to ask you to walk through a scenario where you had to manage conflicting, urgent schedules for high-risk patients while dealing with system downtime. They want to see that you stay calm under pressure and can make analytical, compliant decisions on the fly. You'll also likely be tested on your familiarity with EPIC workflows and how you handle escalated patient grievances.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume explicitly highlights your hands-on experience with EPIC, complex medical scheduling, and any leadership or mentoring roles you've held in past healthcare settings. Drop keywords like "revenue cycle", "NICE", and "high-volume scheduling" directly into your experience bullets so you easily clear the initial ATS screening.
