Packaging Technician II

Cynet Systems

Job Description & Details

This Packaging Technician II contract role in Gainesville, GA, puts you right on the manufacturing floor managing equipment setup, batch records, and compliance. If you like hands-on operational work, maintaining safety standards, and keeping production lines moving, this gig keeps you actively engaged.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your day-to-day involves operating and troubleshooting packaging machinery like labelers, coders, vision systems, and heat tunnels while strictly following Standard Operating Procedures. You will handle documentation, reconcile batch records for materials and products, manage waste disposal, and enter production data regarding downtime and yields. Expect to collaborate closely with teammates to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while keeping leadership informed of any process deviations or equipment needs.

The Core Tech Stack

You need a solid foundation in manufacturing environments, specifically with equipment troubleshooting and operating a reach truck forklift. Mastery of batch record reconciliations and basic data entry is essential, along with the physical capability to handle materials and lift up to 35 lbs. Your ability to rigorously follow compliance protocols, especially regarding hazardous waste management and HSE guidelines, will be heavily relied upon.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring manager to ask about a time you had to troubleshoot a malfunctioning machine on the line and how you communicated the issue to your team. They want to see practical problem-solving skills paired with a strict adherence to safety protocols. You will likely also be tested on your familiarity with batch record documentation and how you handle discrepancies in component counts to ensure compliance.

Application Advice

To get past the automated screening, ensure your resume clearly highlights your manufacturing experience, specific packaging machinery you have operated, and your forklift certification. Explicitly mention any compliance, safety, and hazardous waste training you have completed, as well as your experience with data entry and maintaining accurate batch records.
