CyberArk Engineer

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty infrastructure operations role for someone who knows the ins and outs of privileged access management and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves for L2/L3 support. You'll be the backbone of keeping their security vault stable while handling real-world production fires and participating in on-call rotations.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Your days will be split between routine platform upkeep and tackling escalated support tickets. You'll be managing CyberArk providers and plugins, making sure packages and distributions roll out smoothly across servers without breaking things. Because this environment lives in AWS, you'll also be dealing with cloud infrastructure challenges, handling server upgrades, and keeping the pipeline humming using infrastructure-as-code practices.

The Core Tech Stack

Deep, hands-on CyberArk administration is non-negotiable here since you're jumping straight into the fire. Beyond the core platform, you need to be comfortable writing automation scripts in Python, Unix/Linux, and APIs to handle repetitive tasks. Experience with AWS and Terraform is a massive plus because they expect you to manage and scale the environment using modern provisioning tools rather than clicking around in a console.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to grill you on real-world troubleshooting scenarios, particularly how you handle a broken CyberArk provider or a failed AWS component during an outage. They want to hear about your systematic approach to root cause analysis, not just textbook answers. You'll also likely be asked to whiteboard a custom API script or explain how you've used Terraform to manage security infrastructure in the past.

Application Advice

Make sure your resume clearly highlights your hands-on CyberArk operational background rather than just high-level architectural design. Explicitly list out your experience with AWS, Terraform, and Python/Unix scripting to hit all the right ATS keywords. If you've managed on-call rotations or handled complex L3 support escalations in previous roles, put those front and center to show you can handle the operational heat of this position.
