Performance Engineering Lead

Not Disclosed

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-hitting performance engineering leadership role where you will own the entire performance strategy and governance for a massive enterprise program. You won't just be running scripts; you'll be architecting scalability models across complex SAP, CRM, and cloud ecosystems to ensure the system doesn't buckle under heavy enterprise loads.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You will spend your days defining enterprise-wide workload models, establishing SLAs and SLOs, and reviewing solution architecture to sniff out performance bottlenecks before they hit production. Your hands will be in everything from SAP BRIM, S/4HANA, and Convergent Mediation to middleware, APIs, mobile apps, and IVR systems. You'll lead root-cause analysis when things break, mentor performance analysts, and present risk mitigation strategies directly to executive leadership.

The Core Tech Stack

You absolutely must know NeoLoad inside and out, as it's the core enterprise performance testing platform you'll be implementing and administering. Deep familiarity with SAP ecosystems—specifically SAP BRIM, S/4HANA, and Convergent Mediation—is non-negotiable here given the heavy billing and transaction processing requirements. On top of that, you need a strong grasp of monitoring tools across JVM metrics, cloud platforms, database performance, and middleware queues to effectively lead root-cause analysis.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your deep architectural knowledge by asking how you would diagnose a cascading latency issue in an event-driven integration pipeline connected to SAP BRIM and a customer web portal under high concurrency. They are looking to see if you can methodically isolate bottlenecks across database locks, JVM garbage collection, and middleware message queues rather than just guessing. They'll also likely push you on how you handle capacity planning for complex batch processing windows that overlap with peak daytime API traffic.

Application Advice

To get past the ATS, make sure your resume explicitly highlights your experience leading enterprise-scale performance engineering initiatives, specifically calling out NeoLoad, SAP BRIM, and complex API ecosystems. Don't just list tools; emphasize your governance experience, how you've defined non-functional requirements from scratch, and how you've communicated performance risks to executive stakeholders.
