Warranty Analyst

Toyota Material Handling

Job Description & Details

This is a hands-on Warranty Analyst role sitting directly out of Columbus, Indiana, acting as the crucial bridge between dealer networks and internal manufacturing operations. If you enjoy diving into complex claims, analyzing failure trends, and directly influencing product quality rather than just pushing papers, this position offers a massive footprint within a major industrial leader.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day will revolve around reviewing, adjudicating, and resolving warranty claims submitted by Toyota and Raymond dealers while keeping communication lines crystal clear. You will regularly draft technical bulletins, coordinate parts and labor rates, and sit down with Operations and Quality teams to flag field failures and implement corrective actions. Expect to spend a solid chunk of your time crunching warranty data to spot early product quality shifts and building out reports to present your findings to management.

The Core Tech Stack

While you won't be writing production code, you definitely need to be dangerous with data. Microsoft Office is a daily given for presentations and documentation, but your real leverage will come from SAP and Power BI experience. The team relies heavily on these databases to track dealer performance metrics and isolate component failure trends, so being comfortable pulling your own data and turning it into actionable insights is non-negotiable.

Interview Expectations

When you sit down with the hiring manager, expect them to test your conflict-resolution and analytical chops. They will likely ask you to walk through a scenario where a high-volume dealer is pushing back hard on a denied warranty claim, and how you would maintain that relationship while protecting company margins. They want to see that you can balance empathy with strict adherence to policy, using hard data rather than emotion to justify your decisions.

Application Advice

Your resume needs to heavily emphasize analytical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. Make sure you explicitly mention any experience you have with SAP, Power BI, data analysis, or technical writing, as these are the exact keywords the ATS will scan for to push your application to the top. Frame your past roles around tangible improvements you drove in service operations, customer satisfaction, or process efficiency.
