Job Description & Details
This is a heavy-hitting strategic sourcing role focused entirely on wrangling massive global technology spend for cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise IT services. If you know how to audit complex vendor agreements, squeeze out cost savings, and negotiate enterprise-scale SaaS deals without burning bridges, this 12-month contract gives you direct ownership over critical TSO budget lines.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll spend your days knee-deep in spend data, analyzing TSO and IT management service costs across FinOps, IaaS, Cloud Engineering, and enterprise network tech. You're not just reviewing invoices; you're actively quarterbacking market research, running total cost of ownership models, and leading high-stakes contract negotiations with tier-one suppliers. Expect to act as the bridge between technical stakeholders who want the best tools and finance teams trying to keep margins tight, all while mitigating supply chain risks and holding vendors accountable to strict KPIs.
The Core Tech Stack
Success here requires absolute fluency in global technology procurement principles, contract law, and strategic sourcing frameworks. You need a proven background in negotiating enterprise-scale agreements for SaaS, Cloud, Compute Storage, and Digital Workplace Solutions. Because you will be dealing with complex master agreements and global stakeholders, deep familiarity with financial modeling, TCO analysis, and large-scale 3rd Party Expense Management is non-negotiable.
Interview Expectations
When you sit down with the hiring managers, expect them to test your mettle with scenario-based questions like, Walk me through a time when a major cloud or SaaS vendor pushed back hard on your liability terms; how did you structure the compromise? They aren't looking for a textbook definition of a contract clause; they want to see your pragmatic negotiation style and how you protect the company from vendor lock-in or unexpected cost spikes. They'll also likely ask you to explain how you evaluate a complex TCO model for an IaaS migration, testing your ability to translate deep technical infrastructure costs into clear executive-level summaries.
Application Advice
Skip the generic procurement buzzwords and make sure your resume immediately highlights numbers and scale. They want to see dollar amounts saved, specific enterprise SaaS portfolios managed, and global regions covered. Explicitly include keywords like strategic sourcing, TCO analysis, master services agreements, cloud engineering procurement, and vendor KPI management so you easily clear the ATS filters. Keep it punchy and outcome-driven.
