Telecom Business Analyst - Telecom Billing / Lead-to-Cash

SYSTEM EDGE USA LLC

Job Description & Details

This is a heavy-duty, domain-specific Business Analyst gig focused squarely on telecom billing and Lead-to-Cash operations. If you don't know the difference between account hierarchies and product catalog mapping in a telecom environment, you are going to drown fast here. It's a long-term contract role requiring a hands-on analyst who can wrangle complex business workflows and turn them into actionable technical specs.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll spend your days waist-deep in legacy and modern telecom billing systems, untangling how account segmentation, invoicing, and product mapping actually function in practice. You'll run stakeholder sessions with stubborn business units, translate messy operational realities into clean BRDs and FRDs, and manage the resulting chaos inside Jira. Expect to constantly bridge the gap between business stakeholders who want the moon and engineering teams who need precise user stories and bulletproof acceptance criteria for sprint execution.

The Core Tech Stack

You need deep, battle-tested familiarity with telecom billing platforms, invoicing structures, and the end-to-end Lead-to-Cash lifecycle. Beyond the domain knowledge, Jira is your bread and butter here for backlog management, sprint tracking, and defect triage. You won't be writing code, but you will need to map out complex product catalogs, pricing logic, and service activation workflows that engineering teams can actually build without breaking downstream billing systems.

Interview Expectations

Expect the hiring team to test your deep understanding of telecom billing quirks by asking you to walk through a complex billing dispute scenario caused by a flawed product mapping configuration. They want to see how you trace a failure backward from the invoice to order management and service activation. They'll also probe your ability to push back on vague business requirements, so be ready with a real-world example of how you forced stakeholders to define measurable acceptance criteria before a user story hit the sprint backlog.

Application Advice

Do not just list generic business analyst skills on your resume; your application needs to scream telecom domain expertise from the very first line. Explicitly highlight your experience with Lead-to-Cash (L2C), account hierarchies, billing configuration, and product catalogs to instantly clear the ATS filters. Make sure your resume heavily features terms like BRDs, FRDs, user stories, Jira, and Agile methodologies so the recruiters immediately see you can drop into a live sprint cycle on day one without hand-holding.
